In the free version, the Relationship field can be rendered as text. In this mode, the block outputs the selected post’s title, providing a simple and lightweight way to display linked or referenced posts without additional layout controls.
In the PRO version, additional display options are available. The Relationship field can be rendered as a list, grid, or carousel, and is treated as a post loop rather than a single value. This allows each selected post to be processed individually, similar to how the core Query Loop block works.
When using these loop-based layouts, you can insert any post-related block inside the loop, such as post title, content, or featured image. You can also load and display ACF fields associated with each post, enabling advanced and fully customizable layouts for related posts, featured sections, or curated content areas directly within the block editor.
Display Options
Text
Displays the selected posts as plain text using their titles.
You can optionally turn each title into a clickable link that points to the corresponding post. Since the field supports multiple values, you can choose how the titles are displayed, either inline with a custom separator or formatted as a list for better readability.
List
PRO
Displays the selected posts as a vertical list.
The field is loaded as a posts loop, allowing you to add inner blocks inside each item to display post data such as title, excerpt, featured image, or custom fields. This layout is ideal for simple, structured content like related posts or links, where clarity and readability are the priority.
Grid
PRO
Displays the selected posts in a grid layout.
The field is loaded as a posts loop, and each item can be customized using inner blocks to show post data and custom fields. This layout is useful for creating more visual sections such as blog previews, portfolios, or featured content, with control over columns and spacing for responsive design.
Carousel
PRO
Displays the selected posts in a horizontal slider.
The field is loaded as a posts loop, with each item supporting inner blocks to render post data and custom fields. This layout adds interactivity and is ideal for showcasing content in a compact space, such as featured posts or highlights, while allowing users to navigate through items.
